TOURNAMENT TALES
Kevin Kaufman of Willingboro posted a 70 for top honors in the Boys 16-18 Division during the Philadelphia Section PGA 2002 Junior Tour at the Upper Perk Golf Course (Pennsburg, Pa.) on Tuesday.
Michael O'Keefe of Medford carded a 77 for second place in the Boys 14-15 Division
Michael Carr of East Norriton, Pa., took top honors with a 76.

Greg Farrow of the Deerwood Country Club carded a 33-35-68 for top honors during the Philadelphia Section PGA Taylor Made/Adidas Classic at the Woodcrest Country Club on Monday.
George Frake (37-33-70) of the Little Mill Country Club, Dave Quinn (35-35-70) of the Centerton Golf Club, and Ken Pyre-Ferry (34-36-70) of the Links tied for second.

Sean Green of the Tavistock Country Club scored a 93 for a fourth-place finish during the Golf Association Philadelphia Class A (ages 17-and-under) Caddie Tournament at the Saucon Valley Country Club on Monday.
Jamie Shaffer of the Green Valley Country Club took top honors with a 75.

Sadiyya Gillespie of Sicklerville carded a 44, for a fourth-place finish in the Youth 8-10 division (8 holes) during the U.S. Girls Golf Tour at the Honeybrook Golf Club (Honey Brook, Pa.) on Monday.
Aurora Kan of Boothwyn, Pa., took top honors with a 40.


HOLES IN ONE
Robert Dubreuil used a 6-iron on the par-3, 164-yard 12th hole at the White Oaks Country Club on Wednesday.
Lucy Koenig used a 7-wood on the par-3,130-yard 8th hole at the White Oaks Country Club on Wednesday.
Rich Lubelski used a 9-iron on the par-3,140-yard 3rd hole at the Pennsauken Country Club on Tuesday.
Tom Knetz of Audubon used an 8-iron on the par-3, 135-yard 5th hole at the Valleybrook Golf Club on June 24.
Robert Cermek of Hilltop used a 9-iron on the par-3, 128-yard 3rd hole at the Valleybrook Golf Club Club on June 23.

OF NOTE
Mark Twain once said, "It's good sportsmanship in golf not to pick up lost golf balls until they stop rolling."
ADDED ATTRACTIONS
Charles Barkley, Jeremy Roenick, Ron Jaworski and Mike Schmidt will play in the nationally televised American Century Celebrity Golf Championship at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course (South Lake Tahoe, Nev.) July 19-21. The 54-hole stroke-play tournament will also include Michael Jordan, Emmitt Smith, Marshall Faulk, Mario Lemieux and Jason Kidd. It will be televised by ESPN on July 19 (TBA) and by NBC (TBA) on July 20 and 21.
