Tournament will honor Bill Gordon

This year's Mount Holly Pro Day Golf Tournament will honor Bill Gordon, the former Rancocas Valley High School football coach who died Oct.ƒ21. The tournament is May‚8 at Deerwood Country Club.

The tournament, founded by Gordon, supports educational and recreational youth activities in the Mount Holly area. This year's event will also honor Deron Cherry of Palmyra. Cherry was a six-time Pro Bowl player for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Entry fee for the four-person scramble tournament is $150. Registration deadline is April 30.

•  Good Neighbors: The Disabilities Resource Center's Good Neighbor Golf Classic will be at 1:30 p.m. May 4 at Harbor Pines Golf Club in Egg Harbor Township. Entry fee is $150 for the shotgun start tournament.

•  ‚Alzheimer's benefit: Stanley Cup champions Bernie Parent, Dave Schultz, Bob Kelly, Rick MacLeish, Jimmy Watson and Joe Watson will compete in the Spring Golf Classic May 16 at Scotland Run Golf Club in Williamstown.

Entry fee is $200 per golfer, $400 for a foursome. Proceeds benefit Alzheimer's Association-South Jersey Chapter.

•  Bancroft NeuroHealth: Bancroft NeuroHealth will hold its annual golf tournament June 4 at Tavistock Country Club in Haddonfield. Bernie Parent will serve as honorary chairman.

•  Ladies clinic: Scotland Run Golf Club in Williamstown will hold its first Thursday Night Ladies Clinic at 5:30 p.m. May 3.

Each program will last 1" hours and will focus on fundamentals including swing, short game, long game and putting. Cost is $35 per session or $150 for a series of five.
