TEE TO GREEN
The Pitman Golf Course, which was opened to the public in 1927, will roll back its greens fees to the 1920s on Monday, April 15.
In celebration of its 75th anniversary, the Pitman course will charge players one dollar to walk. Gloucester County senior passholders will not have to pay. Golfers who choose to use power carts will be charged $15 per player, $16 total per player.
Golfers are encouraged to dress in 1920s style.
There will be an optional informal Callaway tournament.
Starting times will be on a first-come, first served basis starting at 6:30 a.m. unless there are delays, such as frost.
Holes-in-one: John F. Sulpizio Jr. of Laurel Springs used a 9-iron on the par-3, 120-
yard 10th hole at the Kresson Golf Club on April 10.
John Callahan of Gloucester used a 6-iron on the par-3, 178-
yard 5th hole at the Pinelands Golf Club on March 29.
Janice S.A. Mauroff of Burlington Township used a 4-iron on the par-3, 11th hole at the Pinelands Golf Club on March 29.
